A Perfect Picture Postcard Day.

On Sunday 132 riders joined Team Evesham as we meandered through the Pinelands. The weather was spectacular, we could not have asked for a more perfect day to go out and ride. We saw the competition from the Medford Lakes Tri passing us by and we welcomed riders from Florida who were here and visiting. Alas, it is just not a great day in the Pinelands without a stop at Nixon’s in downtown Tabernacle. Let’s hope that the upcoming City to Shore Ride next month is as gorgeous as this past Saturday and Sunday.
This coming week we have several special things planned for the long Labor Day weekend, be certain to check out the website later on in the week. On Saturday Team Evesham hosted two great rides, we even had a rider participate in both of those events.

Unfortunately the Thursday afternoon rains caused that evening’s ride to be canceled.  But, we awoke Friday morning to a gorgeous day and 15 cyclists showed up for the Friday morning  ride.  While the Sunday ride ended the weekend with a ride through the pines with a stop at Nixon’s, we began the weekend with a similar ride and a stop at Nixon’s.  It seems that Team Evesham can’t stay away from that gourmet  deli.  The ride is listed a a C/C+,  but we do adjust it based on the riders that show up.  This ride was more like an easy B with plenty of break always.

Saturday’s Sunrise Lucky13 as Reported by Lori
It was a spectacular morning for the 13 Team Evesham members who showed up for our Second Saturday Sunrise ride! After officially being part of Team Evesham for 1 year- I am constantly inspired by the support and friendship ride leaders and other team members provide to each other.  In true Team Evesham fashion we had 1 leader break away with a rider to provide instruction in gear changing, cadence, and hydration. Another leader kept a “shoeless” rider company, as well as providing support and advice to another rider who has been working to increase mileage and strength. Thanks Mike, for leading us on a glorious 26 mile B ride to Zina’s Bakery in Riverton. And thumbs up to Roman who rode half of our ride and then headed out to Lenape for the A level metric century with Scott!

From the Bike Lane

As we get closer to the MS 150 City to Shore ride remember: the more you ride the better shape you’ll be in and the easier it will be ride those miles. Everyone must raise a minimum of $300 to participate so if you haven’t started fundraising it’s not hard but don’t save it until the last minute.

We look forward to seeing everyone out there in the upcoming weeks…
