Cameron Humphreys is 9 years old and will be riding 65 miles in this year’s American Cancer Society’s Bike-a-thon. Last year he rode the the 21 mile portion of the Bike-a-thon, but this year he starting from Philly and riding the whole distance in memory of his great grandfather who passed away last year from lung cancer. You might remember Cameron. He and his dad, Dave, rode with us a few times last autumn, will be riding with again on Sundays this year. Check out this article and YouTube video Young cyclist takes on a big cause. If you would like to help fight cancer, you can do so by joining or donating to Team Evesham in the ACS Bike-a-thon. If you prefer you can donate directly to Cameron at PoppopBill.

I am sure Cameron did great yesterday. I am anxious to hear. I have had the pleasure of riding with Cameron and his dad. Great kid riding for a great cause!
Cameron did excellent! He average 14.8mph and even skipped a rest stop. 54 miles into it the heat got to him a bit but we just slowed it down for 3-4 miles then he was back to himself finishing strong.
Thanks to everyone for your support. Cameron and I both enjoy riding with Team Evesham on Sundays and I don’t think he could have finished without them. MS Ride next? hmmmm…..
