Why Are You Sitting Inside?

A big thanks to Scott Santos and Laura Simons for leading another fantastic Team Evesham MTB (Mountain Trail Biking) ride through the Black Run Preserve on Saturday. Hey no one’s back there right now, why not? It was cold but it sure looked like everyone had fun. If you thought the biking season was over when the snow & ice moved in boy were you wrong.

Stay tuned for more activities and events. Team Evesham is diversifying.

Okay pop quiz: Who’s the hardest-working Mayor around? How many of you knew that the Mayor of Evesham Township, is coming home with his first Super Bowl ring? That’s right, in addition to all of the work he does for our town Mayor Randy Brown is also a Baltimore Ravens Special Teams Coach. Congratulations to the Ravens and to our own Mayor Brown!

Mountain Biking 101 – Tip #1

Scott Santos posted the following advice on Team Evesham’s Facebook Page

Cadence – Keeping a high cadence is important for balance purposes. If your cadence is too low and you come to an obstacle such as sand, an incline, or a log to go over you may not be able to power over the obstacle and have to lay down with the bike. A higher cadence will make it easier to tackle the obstacles.
