The first weekend ride in October

The weekend after the big MS City to shore event and we are still out riding in the countryside. This past week’s ride is a favorite, looking at the homes in Moorestown and Riverton is just a spectacular treat to say nothing more about the pastry at Zena’s. A great place to stop and eat, but seriously is Zena’s better than the Olde World Bakery, or can anything top the cider donuts at Johnson’s Farm? No we ride to stay fit, not to eat.

Ok a few more great things, a big call out to Lucie for her Guardian Angel award and help for cyclists on the recent Bike Evesham event this past Saturday. Stay tuned for another one of these great local rides in April, more details are coming.  How about the great Harvest Fest on Main Street in Marlton, the brick oven pizza place was Chuck’s favorite but Brad preferred the salad place.

Quick notes and reminders, we are riding every weekend, don’t put your bike away, come and keep riding with us, the routes will change and we may add a layer of clothing but the fun and sport remain. This past Sunday we had riders all over from Marlton, to Erwina, and out to Limerick too. We beat the rain Sunday morning and a had a blast plus a few flat tires.

If you rode in the MS event please note, fundraising contiunes until October 31 and we are locked into a competitioin with two other teams for top fundraising honors. Thanks for pushing us over the top in this category. Plus we have already signed up riders for the MS event in 2013. Let me know if you registered but if MS did not place you on our team. We can move you over today to Team Evesham.

Last of the reminders, D&Q is sponsoring a series of bike training events, here is the information and I can recommend these programs. Plus you can still purchase the full compliment of Team Evesham gear (jersey, jacket, and shorts) at D&Q, but only while supplies last. We will use the same items in 2013 so be dressed smart now and enjoy the colors. Brad and Dave promise more clothing items for the 2013 cycling year too. And watch for their special holiday clothing offerings too.

Come out this Sunday, the weather should be fantastic a high of 72 degrees, and the ride will be incredible too.
