A Colorful Ride

This past Sunday was another perfect day for a ride. Leaves changing colors sun shining and a slight breeze. We rode over some amazing South Jersey farmland and through the pine barrens. It was another great new ride put together by Scott Santos. All 72 riders had a great time and temps were in the 70s as we returned. If you’re not riding with us these days you’re really missing out.

Great news we are very, very close to breaking $100K for the MS Society. Fundraising officially stops after 10/31/2012. Please help us reach that goal, we are currently at almost $98K – don’t stop. This will be one for the Team Evesham record books!

A shout out to Bill Eisner: Welcome back mate! Bill’s been in Australia for a few weeks and wasn’t back two days before he was in the saddle with us again. Jumping White Sharks, wrestling Salties and now bike riding. What next? Oh and did I mention wrestling Kangaroos to the ground? Great to have you back Bill.

Lastly, there will be a surprise announcement coming for the November 4th Sunday ride so stay tuned.

Other Rides

This weekend several Team Evesham members headed out to Gettysburg, PA for an absolutley amazing ride. Scott & Laura sent this recap…

This past weekend approximately 15 members from team Evesham participated in the Bicycle Club of Philadelphia’s fall Foliage weekend.  The event took place in the Gettysburg area of Pennsylvania with over 150 cyclists participating.  There were numerous rides that were available withour group choosing to partake in a 65 mile scenic tour of Gettysburg and the battle field area on Saturday and a 45 mile route to Loganville,PA on Sunday with a lunch stop at Browns farmers market for some apple cider, donuts, and one of the best grilled cheese sandwiches to be had.

As part of the weekend the Bicycle club of Philadelphia organized dinner for us at the hotel on Friday night, and a spectacular dinner for us on Saturday Night at the Atland House in Abbotsville PA.  All of us thoroughly enjoyed the weekend including the rides, dinner, and camaraderie with other cyclists.  The highlight of the trip was spending some time with friends and likeminded individuals doing something we love. It was a great event for all and we would highly recommend it to other cyclists next season!

See the photos they took below.

Two more Team Evesham members, Basile Kanaris & Bradley Lloyd, particpated in a third ride this weekend. This one to raise money for Muscular Dystrophy. Way to go guys!

In the News

This segment from the Philly Fox affiliate features fellow rider and Team Evesham member John DiLello. Many of you may be unaware but John has Alzheimer’s disease and has been actively engaged in the community for many years raising money for the cause. Normally we don’t want to call attention to someone and their illness but John wants to promote that he rides and has Alzheimer’s.
