It was the warmest extended streak of weather this year but 77 intrepid riders came out to join us as we all celebrated Dave Bennis’s birthday today. Five different riding groups and no one left behind. I am truly amazed to have been able to keep our very own Dave in total shock for his surprise party. So you see, there really was no boat show at the Promenade, guess Dave will never fall for that again. Two of the new riders wanted to know if this is how we celebrate every weekend. Alas it is not, but who knows we may be onto the start of something new with birthdays and cycling events.
Another rider joining us for the first time today commented, “The ride off the chain! The food & celebration, off the hook! The people and feelings shown completely awesome!”
