We Rode Down to the River

This past Sunday, we had over 40 riders join us at the Promenade for the “Ride to the River”!  It’s great to see so many riders showing up and to welcome the new riders each weekend, especially this late in the riding season.

It was chilly as headed out to the Delaware River, but after putting a few miles behind us and with the sun shining, it did seem to be a bit warmer.  Riding through the elm and sycamore lined streets of Moorestown and Riverton with their stately homes was quite a change from the open roads and pines trees we have on many of our rides.  The two highlights of the ride had to be the pastries at Zena’s Café and the scenic view while cycling on Bank Street along the Delaware River (near the Riverton Yacht Club).  It all came together to make it another great ride.

Saturday Ride

This was a weekend of gorgeous cycling weather. On Saturday, 10/22 three Team Evesham riders, John Murphy, Scott Santos & Frank Landgrebe, also rode 50 miles from Seneca to Chatsworth to Oswego Lake and back.

Incidentally, as the weather gets cooler, it is important to dress properly.  We have some tips staying warm in featured story , “Stay Warm on Cool Days“,  and in “Gear/Clothing“.

Please join us for this week’s upcoming rides:

  • Friday, 10/28,  a 30 mile C/C+  level ride starting  at 8:30 am.
  • Sunday, 10/30, an all levels ride.  The ride is to the “Olde World Bakery” and will start at the new time of 8:30 am.
  • Both rides start from and end at Panera Bread in the Promenade, 500 Route 73 S # E15, Marlton, NJ 08053.
