Sunday Ride
Last Sunday’s ride was warm but still fun. Who’s ready to ride again? Sunday should be seasonably warm and partly cloudy. Our ride will be the New Road Ride, something we haven’t done in a few months. We’ll meet at Panera’s in the Promenade at 8AM on Sunday, July 31st.
We also have a number of events coming up…
- Our regular Team Evesham Friday “C” ride will depart at 8:00AM from Panera Bread in the Promenade.
- This Sunday several of our team members will be participating in the 24th annual Irish Pub sponsored Tour de Shore. This is an amazing ride starting at the Irish Pub on 20th and Walnut Street in Philadelphia, ending at the Irish Pub at St. James Place & the Boardwalk in Atlantic City. Proceeds benefit Delaware Valley Police and children’s charities.
- The 31st Annual Princeton Bicycling Event will take place on Saturday, August 6th from 7AM to 5PM.
- The MS Society will host their Group Riding Skills class on Saturday, August 13, 2011 in Evesham Township. This is being offered at no charge to all Team Evesham MS riders. Please RSVP to brad@teamevesham.org if you plan on attending.
- The MS Society’s annual Rider Expo is coming to Penn’s Landing Caterers, 1301 S. Columbus in Philadelphia on Wednesday, August 24th from 5:30-7:30PM. RSVP on the website or call Melissa Hersh at 1-800-445-BIKE. If you’re a first-time MS rider or you simply want to get the most of you City to Shore experience you won’t want to miss this.
Hope to see you this Sunday!
Here are last Sunday’s photos…
I’ll be at the IPTDS on Sunday. Who else is going?
I did the Irish Pub ride two years ago, and while I enjoyed the experience, in retrospect, would not repeat. The route is frankly dangerous, and I note that this year, the ride takes the Admiral Wilson Blvd. I sure hope the police block off the entire right lane. The real problem is RT 561 through Cherry Hill, no shoulder at all, very high speed. Don’t mean to be a wet blanket, but you need to be very very careful. Once you get out across RT 73 in Winslow, you get to come country roads, but that takes a while.
Sandy Student, Frank Locantore, Mike Barth, and Bill Lobosco.
see you Kurt in Phila.
I kept an eye out for you guys but no joy.
